About Joe Hindy
Joe's first real experience with tech came at the tender age of six when he started playing Final Fantasy IV (II on the SNES) on the family's living room console. As a teenager, he cobbled together his first PC build using old parts from several ancient PCs, and really started getting into things in throughout his 20s.
Joe served in the US Army as a broadcast journalist. Afterward, he served as a news writer for XDA-Developers before spending 11 years as an Editor, and eventually Senior Editor, of Android Authority. Now, he writes for whoever will have him.
What was your first phone?
My first real phone was the LG Rumor. It had this wonderful matte black plastic along with a nice black and blue colorway. I owned that thing for years before I finally got into my first Android phone, the Moto Cliq.
What tech products or categories are you most passionate about?
Mobile tech, video games, e-readers, TVs, audio, and PC. However, I enjoy just about anything with electricity running through it.
